Congratulations to the B's

Harper Lock Shield, Regular season Champions for 2025. The mighty Prem Reserves, B's corner got a good workout on Saturday night!

The club hasn't won the Harper Lock Shield since 1998. Current President Brent Pritchard was in the team that last lifted it.

In a tight match against HOBM the B's absorbed Hutt's strong push after half time. Then tries from a deft kick by Josh Auvele and a blistering run by Brad Pritchard sealing the win with 10 to play and the Harper Lock Shield.

These men personify what it means to be a team, especially a Petone team, they have each others backs through thick and thin and apart from one small blemish, a loss against MSP have performed with distinction all year. Special mention to coaches Siu, Double, Geoff, managers Benny and Arapera, physio Sridar and captains Josh Styche and Dylan Turnbull on an awesome regular season campaign. Thanks to Tarn Styche for capturing such great photos on the weekend.

Jobs not done. 1 more trophy to get…

The Prem Reserves Face OBU at the Rec this Saturday in an Ed Chaney Prelim Final. 12:30pm Kick off.

Jubilee Cup Elimination Game

A huge week ahead for our prems, they will need to flush the McBain heartbreak and look ahead to potential redemption against Pōneke at home this Saturday in a Jubilee cup elimination playoff.

Finishing in sixth Spot we face the seventh placed Street Kids. A loss means we drop into the Hardham Cup bracket. The injury ravaged and even staph infected loss to Pōneke on the Rec 4 weeks ago will be fresh in the boys memories.

See you at the Rec 5 July, 2:45pm Kick off. Send out the word, we need your support this weekend.

The colts went down at the death against top of the table Tawa. This will give our young Under 21's confidence, they belong in the top tier and can best anyone on their day. They travel into the muddy polo ground this weekend to take on Ories, playing to those conditions will be key.

The Brotherhood venture out to Ngati Toa Domain to face Tawa. They currently sit third on the table,  a win here would leapfrog them into second spot.

Let's keep this momentum going, the last thing we need at the Rec is another car yard! Please share with other Villagers, sportspeople and Petone residents.

Again, to clarify you don't need to make a donation, just sign the petition online then skip any steps for making a financial contribution.

Making a $ donation to the campaign does not come to the club it goes toward boosting the petition online.

A big thank you to our netballers who did a stellar clean up job on Sunday morning, cheers ladies!

Congratulations again to Jarrod Hrstich on his 100th Cap. It was great to have one of the Hrstich brothers surprise us on the day all the way from Hong Kong, and the other to phone in on the night!

We need your support down the Rec this Saturday, two huge games of footy. Our B's take on OBU at 12:30pm in an Ed Chaney prelim final, then it's win against Pōneke at 2:45pm or our Jubilee cup dreams for 2025 are over.

The kiosk will be open for delicious hot chips and snacks, and Muddy grinds will be there so you can get your coffee fix.

Cheers
