Karikari Peninsula Ocean Sports Club - 2025/26 Season

The 2025/26 fishing season has officially started! We are looking forward to a great first full season for KPOSC.

Firstly, thanks for signing up to KPOSC as founding members. We have lots of high hopes for the club and look forward to what is to come.  Your membership fees from last season will roll over to cover this season so you are all paid up for this year!  If you have signed up but not paid your fees yet, you still have time to sort that out.

If you haven’t already, jump on to social media and give us a follow to stay updated on what’s going on and coming up.

Club Awards

We are still working on what this will look like.
Angler awards, such as most season points, first billfish, heaviest/longest species etc.
There will be a skipper’s section also. The skipper will need to be a club member to be eligible for awards.

NZSFC also has awards for first and heaviest of the season across a range of species.  Check out last season results.

Measure Mats

We will be running measure comps so it is a good idea to have a measure mat on board also handy for the Daiwa Monthly measure challenge (Gurnard this month).  We have a few NZSFC measure mats available immediately but can order more if needed. Let us know if you want one or pop into reel rods.
If you are interested in the IGFA World Records you will need an IGFA measure mat.  We can order this for you, just let us know.

Grid Map

We are putting together a grid map for this season. There will be spots available for sponsorship.  This is a great chance to get your business mentioned when fish are caught in your sponsors grid.  Watch this space!

2025/26 Tournaments

We are still working on this also and will let you all know what is coming up as soon as it is planned out.  If you have ideas for anything let us know.  We do want to keep comps to be measure comps wherever possible.

I think that’s all for now.  Feel free to contact us anytime with questions, queries and ideas.  The club is here for it's members!
