Kia ora anō,

Please see the draw (subject to change) at the end of this email and don't forget to book your seat on the bus tomorrow : )

Key reminders:

1. Our rolling kai tent will be up and running again - thank you to all whānau who contributed last week. We have a load of snack food left over (muesli bars & chips) but we still have some requests please and if you have time to help Erin or Ashleigh, please let them know:

  • All teams: baking, bread, fruit or drinks - bananas and mandarins were very popular last week!

2. We are still hoping to get our U16s kōtiro playing on Saturday. While we have been unable to form a complete U16s team we have had interest and girls turning up to train alongside the boys which has been awesome. We want them to be a part of Saturday in whatever capacity we can muster up. If you are a kōtiro or have a girl that is registered or keen to play, please message matua Rick on 027 276 4279 to confirm your interest ASAP.

3. Our players were gifted their player edition tees last Saturday to wear when not in their playing strip. It is an expectation that these are worn for the whakatau please. Those players who couldn't make last Saturday can collect theirs this Saturday. Reminder, these are a taonga, please look after them, don't leave them lying around and please make sure

4. Mouthguards, mouthguards, mouthguards - please don't forget these.

Iwi of Origin is a kaupapa that celebrates the essence of being Māori through connection, play, and community. It brings whānau, marae, hapū, and iwi together to strengthen relationships, honour te reo me ōna tikanga, and inspire well-being through sport and activity. This event is a space for Māori to unite, represent their iwi, and celebrate identity, culture, and whanaungatanga.
