Make sure you let us know, so we have time to get a singlet to everyone entered to represent Southland.

This year the Southland Harriers are offering travel subsidies for our outstanding Southern Athletes. If you are keen for this travel subsidy please let us know by email, southlandharriers@gmail.com

The only thing we ask in return is a few pictures for our Facebook page and newsletter, and maybe a quick race report if you are really brave!

The 71st Gore Cross Country will be held at Hamilton Park Gore. This is a free event hosted and run by Gore Harriers.

A fantastic event which includes, fence jumps, hay bails' and sometimes a little bit of mud.

Under 20, Seniors and Masters who are registered to a Southland Athletics Club will be eligible to win trophies. All other runners who place in the first three of their respective age grade will receive certificates. Under 18 age group runners can run in the main race with Under 20's, Seniors and Masters but are not eligible for trophies.

Age grades are taken as at 31st of December 2026. Example Alex turns 14 on the 5th of September he will run in the under 16 age group. Masters is age on the day.

All runners must race in their respective age grade. No exceptions.

Distances

Under 10 and Under 12 - 2kms

Under 14 and Under 16 - 4kms

Under 18, Under 20, Seniors and Masters - 5.4km

Afternoon tea, prize giving and sport prizes after the event.

This year there is and option of a corporate relay, so get your work mates together, 4 runners means a 2.5km run, piece of cake!!
