NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training)

Are you struggling to stay engaged in education?

Are you not too sure what industry you see yourself in?

Could you do with some employment experience?

If you’re aged 16-17 years, you may be eligible for the NEET services.

This service is a free youth programme aimed at changing the perspective on our rangatahi and how they may see education and employment.

Working closely with our youth, the mentors ensure that all services are accessible – Health, education, employment experience etc. These just a few of the services we have access to, and they often help with overcoming some overlooked barriers.

A goal identified by our current youth was to get their driver licenses, all which we see through from learners to full. We know that having a driver license can be a boost of confidence and opens the door to more employment opportunities, so we at CMSport also build off that and offer part time work experience with our primary sport team.

Our “raise your limits” camp, further develops youth confidence by equipping youth with the knowledge of other services available to them, as well as building appealing employment skills. Our camp committee (run by youth) help shape and plan the camp.

Our CV writing modules help put all that you have done before us and with us, into a CV you can be proud of.

Referrals can be made simply by calling/texting or emailing one of our youth mentors. If you or someone you know is struggling to stay/engage in school or could do with some help getting back into education OR is looking at getting into the employment industry but not too sure where to start, feel free to get in touch.

*Some 15 year olds may be considered
