LENGTH OF ASSOCIATION WITH COLLEGE RIFLES: Barfoot & Thompson has been involved ever since Peter Thompson joined the club in 1981

RUGBY INVOLVEMENT:

Peter Thompson has had an extensive involvement in Rugby throughout the region as a sponsor of many schools, Clubs, Provincial Unions and Super Rugby Teams.

Peter coached School boy teams before taking on the College Rifles Premiers.

Was senior delegate on Auckland Rugby representing the club for approx 10 years and also on the ARU Board.

Peter has been both chairman and president of the club for many years and is a Life Member of the Club.

A huge family involvement with daughter Paula being a recent player and also Bar Manager at the Club.

INTERESTING FACTS:

Barfoot & Thompson have been a long outstanding sponsor of the club and helped integrate the artificial turf into College Rifles and instrumental in the agreement with the MOE.

In 2020 Barfoot & Thompson feature on the front of jersey for our Premier Men & Women’s Teams and their ongoing support of the game at not only College Rifles but the wider Auckland Region is hugely appreciated.
