Ahead of their top of the table clash against Auckland, the club hosted the Tasman Makos at the club for their captains run on field 1. It was not hard to see why they are the current champions and why they are one the competition favourites and go back to back. 

Following their session, a coach development workshop was held at the club for our club coaches as well school coaches from Dilworth and St Peters. 

Tasman Head Coach Andrew Goodman and his Assistant Clark Dermody both spent an hour and a half sharing their rugby journey, their perspective on the game and an insight into what has made their team successful over the last few years. 

A big thank you to Tasman Rugby, Andrew Goodman and Clarke Dermody for taking the time out to speak to our coaches, I’m sure we all took away a number of learnings, heading into the off season.
