The Wellington Blaze have completed their contracted squad for the 2026/27 domestic season, with young all-rounder Anvi Verma awarded the side’s 13th and final contract.
The Scots College and Johnsonville Cricket Club player has impressed through club cricket and the Wellington pathway in recent seasons. She has represented Wellington at the National Under-19 Tournament in Lincoln for the past two seasons and was also selected for New Zealand Under-19 Women’s training camp matches as part of the Bates vs Devine Series.
Verma has also spent time in and around the wider Blaze environment over the past year, giving her an opportunity to become familiar with the domestic level.
Blaze Head Coach Jonny Bassett-Graham said Verma’s contract would provide another opportunity to continue learning and developing.
"We are thrilled for Anvi and looking forward to what she will bring to the Blaze environment. This is a great opportunity for her to further learn about the domestic level and grow her skill set as she continues along her cricketing journey."
