NZ MIXED DOUBLES
Important Note: From 2026, if ten or fewer teams enter the Qualifier, this competition will automatically become the Championship event, and no separate Championship will be held later in the year. With ten or fewer teams, the competition can be completed within the allocated timeframe (TBC by NZCA in April).

- Entries Open: Monday, 6 April 2026, 8:00 pm
- Entries Close: Sunday 3rd May 2026
Tournament Details
- Teams must be available to play from 8:30 am on Thursday, 18 June 2026
- Playoffs: Sunday, 21 June 2026
- Start times and draw will be confirmed after entries are received
- The tournament draw will be confirmed approximately one week after entries close, or as advised
Entry Fee & Payment
- Entry Fee: $300 per team
- One team member is responsible for prompt payment to NZCA
- Pay online at the time of entry, or Direct payment to:
- Account: The New Zealand Curling Association - 03-1733-0116697-000. Please ensure your payment is made to the correct account
- Reference your name and "Doubles".
- Invoices are available on request
- Teams must ensure payment is completed by the start of the tournament, or they may not be permitted to compete
There is no entry fee for the Championship held in August.
Team Eligibility & Conditions
- All entrants must be affiliated with a club or NZCA (excluding Secondary School students)
- Player eligibility and playing conditions are governed by NZCA Tournament Procedures and World Curling (WC) Rules

Qualification
- Top teams from this event will qualify for the NZ Championship, held from Thursday, 16 August to Sunday, 21 August 2026
Tournament Information
- A point system for pool ranking may be implemented in 2026, using results from the past two national tournaments
- More information will be communicated as advised by NZCA.
- Teams are advised not to book flights until the draw is confirmed.
- NZCA is unable to accommodate individual requests regarding game times.
Team Uniforms
Pre-Competition Practice
- No team may practice with NZCA competition stones prior to a National Curling Championship
- No competitors may use Maniototo Adventure Park (MAP) sponsorship ice for one week prior to the event
- No team may practice on the ice later than 3 hours before the start of the tournament, or as outlined in the draw rules.
