You're welcome to come along and try racing with us.  Those new to the sport can turn up and ride three club races with us without doing anything else - after that though, we ask that you join us and take a racing licence out via Cycling New Zealand.  This provides both of us with insurance - you'll also get a bunch of other member benefits, plus the option of riding in larger events that require a CNZ licence.

You can join the club by registering for a racing licence at Cycling New Zealand – click here on the "Membership" button opposite to be taken to their registration site.

When you sign up for a licence, select Cycling New Plymouth as your affiliation.  This means that the club portion of your licence fee gets given to us - there’s no seperate sub to pay.

Unless you're planning on riding at national championships, you'll require a sport membership only. 

Including the club contribution, a Cycling NZ and CNP sport membership is $61 for seniors in 2025.
