David continues to run his own building company "David Latta Builders" in Balclutha and continues to be involved in Otago Country rugby after being assistant coach of Otago in 2010 - 2011. Along with his former Otago team-mate John Leslie, David was seconded in 2010 for his strong commercial and consumer focus skills.
