Beginners. We invite you to come and try this fascinating game. Our friendly club is set in beautiful surroundings; lawns are open all year round and we provide all equipment for beginners to use - all you need is to wear flat soled shoes and casual clothes.

It is a game for both men and women of all ages and can be played either socially for exercise and relaxation or more competitively. It is a game of skill and strategy rather than strength and can be enjoyed at any level.

Players new to croquet will be given basic coaching and advice by our senior players.

Please email to arrange a day to join us for an introduction to the game. Generally the best day to come is a Thursday but if that is not possible a Saturday may be possible.

Club days.

The most popular days are Monday (mostly Association), Tuesday (Golf), Wednesday (Association), Thursday (Golf), Saturday (both codes) and on alternate Sundays (Daylight Saving only).

Sunday games start at 4:30 pm, BYO food and drink for after play.

On all other days players are requested to attend by 9:45am to enable match organisation.

Play starts at 10am and ends at approximately 12:30pm.

Afternoon play is "as-and-when" depending on player requirements.

Friday is lawn-mowing day.

Social Functions
.
A really fun way to celebrate your “Social Function” would be a few hours playing Golf Croquet on our lawns sheltered amongst the trees on the lower level of Melville Park.
.
This version of the game is extremely easy to pick up and after a few minutes of coaching from one of our members, you and your guests (young, old or older) will be enjoying yourself.
.
The Clubhouse has full kitchen and toilet facilities and can accommodate up to 50 people at a moderate donation per person. The ideal time for considering this type of outdoor social activity/function is between November and April.
