Meet Lizzie Anton.

Liz has been through the AFF talent pathway and currently plays her football with Western Springs in the LOTTO NRFL Women's Premier and the New Zealand Football FFDP.

With five caps to her name as a Football Fern as well as representing New Zealand at three FIFA age group tournaments, Anton has proved time and time again that she’s more than capable of playing at the highest standard of football in New Zealand.

Here are five things to know about AFF’s Lizzie Anton.

The Rabbits Foot

Every night before Liz goes to bed, she performs a ‘ritual’, which the AFF Media team is speculating as good luck.

“I have to rub my feet clean every night before I can hop into bed.”

One day we’ll know.

Vegetarian Athlete

Liz is a vegetarian, which means she doesn’t eat meat.

But her favourite food is Sushi.

That’s a great choice for a favourite food Liz.

Liz the Chemist

Outside of football Lizzie is currently in her third year at the University of Auckland studying Chemistry.

Although not entirely sure what she wants to do post university, Lizzie reckons she'll either be doing green chemistry or research. Oh, and also Football!

One Tree Hill

Her favourite TV show is One Tree Hill.

“The main storyline in the early seasons of the show highlights the relationship between two half-brothers, Lucas and Nathan Scott, who start out as enemies but bond as the show progresses.” – Wikipedia.

That sounds like everyone in every workplace.
