Club champs and Prizegiving

Our Club Championships are held over the final 4 weeks of the season.

Athletes are encouraged to participate in all events for their age group and to compete to the best of their ability at all times.

At our annual prize giving, athletes are awarded for the most points received throughout the club champs.

Points are scored once, for each event during the club champs period, with scoring events distributed throughout the four week period. This means that during club champs, not all events are scored at every meet.

The program determining which events are scored during the club champs program is fixed meaning if your child misses a scored event, they cannot repeat on another night.

Scoring

1st - 5 points
2nd - 4 points
3rd - 3 points
4th - 2 points
5th onwards - 1 partcipation point

Please note - Attendance outside of club champs is also recorded and participation points are given THROUGHOUT the season (1 point per evening attended).

Other awards at annual prizegiving

Records broken, Sportsperson awards, Ribbon Day attendance awards (attending 6 or more throughout the season), Volunteer service awards and other trophies, cups and shields are awarded for efforts throughout the season.
