CLUB MEMBERSHIP
The Hawera BMX Club membership covers 12 months from 1st January to the 31st December. Half year fees are offered from 1st of July to the 31st December.
The BMXNZ race season is from September to April.
As a member of the Hawera BMX Club, you have access to the following benefits:
* Access to BMX training for all members
* The club branded race shirt to wear at BMX events and the ability to purchase club merchandise
Full membership requires both a club membership and a BMX NZ registration licence.
Prospective members can come and race their first night for FREE to get a feel for the sport before membership is necessary.
The track is open for casual riders at all other times, but riders wishing to continue to participate at club nights and other BMX events must join the club and become a registered rider with BMXNZ.
A strider licence is for riders aged 2-4 years only on non-pedal bikes. This licence is valid for the full term of the strider, when they are on strider bikes, They will need to upgrade to a Sprocket licence when they turn 5 years old or move to a pedal bike.
Valid from 01 January-31 December
A sprocket licence is for riders 7 years and under (as of 31st December of the year of membership). There is no scoring or placing and all riders receive the same award/trophy when competing atv race events. Sprockets must wear their BMX NZ supplied sprocket number plate.
All club members must also be BMXNZ registered

Once the payment has been confirmed by BMXNZ, your order will be released for despatch.
Delivery will be approximately 3-5days after payment confirmation.
Please note requirement to indicate Rural Delivery if you are a Rural Address.
All riders 8 years and older MUST have a transponder fixed to the front forks of their bikeTo purchase a transponder
BMX Bikes must have a number plate attached to the front of the handlebars.
The upper edge of this number plate may not extend above on any handlebars having a crossbar. Number plates must be made of plastic or other similar flexible material. Before choosing a number for your plate, numbers 1-50 are protected for the National Title holders and are not to be used unless you have been awarded that number at a National Championships.
It is club policy that riders do not choose a number already used by another club member unless it is a Nationals Title number.
Sprocket numbers are determined by BMX New Zealand.Only Sprockets (7 years & Under) are provided with a number plate.
All other riders will be given a number plate upon registering with the Hawera BMX Club.
Riders must use the plate and number colour combinations specified for the category in which they are racing as follows:
White plate, red numbers
Supplied by BMXNZ through registration
Yellow number plate, black numbers
Blue number plate, white numbers
Red number plate, white numbers
White plate, black numbers
Black plate, white numbers
