HIBISCUS COAST SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCE CLUB

The club was formed on Thursday 29 March 1979 at an inaugural meeting held in the old community centre, Orewa.

Hibiscus Coast SCD Club is just one of many clubs operating under the Auckland region,
and we welcome juniors and adults with tuition in steps and formations, leading to confidence in dancing in a group and enjoying the toe-tapping music.

We use our minds to imagine and dance the patterns of the dance, our social skills to help our partners and be helped by others and our feet to move with the music that will not let you sit still.

The club meets on a Wednesday evening at 7.00pm during the season. The 2021 season starts in February with two Open Nights and continues right through school holidays until late November.

  • Open Nights are designed for all-comers to "have a go" with no commitment.
  • Open nights - Wednesday 24 February at 7pm and Wednesday 3 March at 7pm.
  • Soft soled shoes and light clothing recommended.

Club nights officially start on 10 March 2021 but members are encouraged to attend Open Nights.

The Club meets at Silverdale Village Hall, Silverdale Street.
