Welcome to the website of Henderson Valley Pony Club!!

Pony Club was originally a youth organisation, but now offers many opportunities for anyone interested in the sport. Pony Club is the largest organization of equestrian riders in the world.  Pony Club is primarily an organisation for riders with their own horses, however the Junior Equine Skills programme offers an opportunity for children without their own horses to learn about horses and horse care.

NZPCA is an Association of 81 Clubs/Districts encompassing 238 Branches which work together to promote and improve the quality of horse riding and horse management instruction for riders and their coaches throughout New Zealand.  The NZPCA has 9,400 members, which makes it one of the largest youth sporting organizations in New Zealand

New members are always most welcome!

The Pony Club season runs from 1st September to the 31st August each year, with rallies and events taking place between October and April.

We cater for riders of all ages and ability levels, from our youngest riders on the lead rein, through to older kids, teenagers, and adult riders.

Some of our riders like to compete, others just want to have fun with their horses, and learn about riding and horse care.

Grounds Usage

Over winter, the Pony Club paddocks are generally closed for riding.  Riding is limited to the rubber arena and the sand arena, both of which can be booked using an online booking system.

Sand Arena Upgrade Complete

Our sand arena has recently been upgraded thanks to a generous grant from the Auckland Council Sport & Recreation Facilities Investment Fund.

We thank the Auckland Council for their support in providing quality horse riding facilities for the young riders of the future.
