We are a small but social club based in Lower Hutt. (from Prem 1 to Senior 4), so people of all abilities from competitive to beginner. We welcome anyone to come along and see what we are about. We play hard but like to have fun, we have many social events throughout the season often coinciding with fundraising ventures.
Our fees are one of the lowest in the valley and to supplement this we do lots of fundraising to help keep these costs low, our fees for 2025 were $180
There is also a $30 uniform bond paid up front that is refundable at the end of the season when you give your uniform back. All teams train weekly, indoors at Walter Nash Stadium in Taita. Games are held on Saturday’s at varying times. The first game starts around 8am and the last could be at 4pm - the game time can change each week.
We hold trails around March at Walter Nash. These are low stress and designed to see where you best fit - the first few are a bit mixed ability to get everyone on court and then from there you are put with people of comparable ability. If the idea of trials freak you out - that’s ok we will happily slot you into a team.
I mentioned fundraising above - fundraising helps us pay for things like court hire for both trials and training, for equipment like balls, first aid kits, training tools, new uniforms when required and any other supplementary costs involved in running a club. We do things like Movie Night, Quiz Night, Whittaker's Chocolate, Entertainment Book, Raffles etc - generally these are built into our Club nights - club nights we get together once a month throughout the season and celebrate our yay’s or boo’s of the weeks gone past. We do not have a “Home Base” as such and recently we have been trying a few local venues in Lower Hutt..
