Welcome to the Target Shooting Invercargill

Rimfire Target Rifle competition provides a challenging and satisfying activity for men and women from secondary school age, to superannuitants.

Shooting activities on this range are limited to Association and TSNZ affiliates only. While casual or social use of the rimfire range is no longer available to the general public, we warmly welcome anyone interested in the sport to get in touch with the Association. You’re invited to come along to a club night, meet the team, and see what the sport is all about.

Please Note: Our activities based at the Turnbull Thomson Park Range have a minimum age restriction on access. Range users must be 13 years of age and over.

New members will be supervised by licenced club members and instruction is available from accredited coaches

Access:

Access to the TSI range / clubrooms is via a private road  adjacent to the railway line. Entry is off the south-east side of the Pipe Band / Bridge Club carpark

Clubs

Three adjuncts (clubs) are currently affiliated to our organisation.

The two Indoor Target Rifle clubs are:

INVERCARGILL: Operate on Tuesday evenings, doors opening at 7.30pm . Comencing 2026 March thru until August 

COLLEGIATE: Operate on Wednesday evenings, doors opening at 7.00pm. Comencing 2026 March thru until August

Costs:

Range fees are set at $10 

Enquire with your club secretary for ammunition fees.

The current TSI and TSNZ annual subscription fees,  will be advised upon application.
