Course Overview:
Science is humanity's knowledge of the world, divided into different areas. In Year 9 Science students will learn about plants, the earth, astronomy, matter and techniques of separating mixtures.  We will also use the scientific method for practical work in the science laboratory.

Course Overview:
Year 10 Science is organised into 6 units of study, from all strands of the New Zealand Curriculum, and is linked directly to NCEA Level 1.  It covers the subject areas of Chemistry, Physics, Biology and experiments.  The units are, respectively: Atoms and Ions, Chemical Reactions, Electricity, Mechanics, Human Biology, The Scientific Method.
