Kamo Cricket Club is a tight knit club unit with a great energy for growth and a commitment to delivering a platform for individuals of all ages to play the cricket.
We have great practice facilities and one of the best playing ground and pitches in the district. We also have nearby on the horizon the building of a fantastic new cricket and tennis pavilion which is sure to cement the Kamo Recreational Reserve as one of Northland’s premier sporting venues.
Our development work with the junior part of the club and relationships with the local primary schools and Kamo High School ensure the ongoing strength of our numbers.
The club fields Premier and Reserve grade teams in the Northland Cricket Association Senior Club Competition along with an array of teams in all of the 3 junior grades (hard and softball cricket).
There is always room for players of any level of competency to come along and enjoy the game. Our strong relationship with the Kamo High School teams provides a clear pathway for school leavers to join the club.Senior trainings are on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5.30pm onward.
Junior practises are spread out on Mon, Tues and Wednesdays after school. Our junior teams always feature strongly in their respective competitions. With plenty of help from the exceptional junior coaches Kamo Cricket Club has on board. This season we are lucky enough New Zealand Cricket Level 2 qualified Coach Ben Hyde as our junior coach.
We welcome all new players, young and old to join our friendly club atmosphere…..a great bunch of guys…..a family affair!
