Course Overview:
​​​​​​​Year 9 Health is taken by all Year 9 students at some time during the year. It is a half-year course.

The other half year, students choose to take either German OR Te Reo Māori and Māori Performing Arts.

Course Content:
Year 9 Health gives students the opportunity to gain knowledge, skills and understandings about a range of relevant health issues. If the they wish to pursue Health Studies, this course can folllow right through to Level 3 and University.

Overview:
Year 10 Health builds on learning from Year 9 Health. It aims to provide opportunities for students to gain knowledge, skills and understandings about a range of relevant health issues that will help them in their daily decision-making. Health Education also emphasises the development of literacy, research and critical thinking skills.
