This course includes the study of the skill set required to work in the Tourism Industry. The National Certificate in Tourism is a two-year course. At the completion of year two, successful students will receive a National Certificate in Tourism (Introductory Skill - Level 2). Students will learn about the economic significance of tourism, Australia as a tourist destination, how to describe and promote New Zealand tourist destinations, including Northland, Auckland, Rotorua and South Island destinations, including Kaikoura and Queenstown. The South Pacific as a tourist destination including Fiji, Rarotonga and Vanuatu make up the course.
