Welcome to Lake Mahinapua Aquatic Club

Lake Mahinapua Aquatic Club offers sailing for all ages on Lake Mahinapua, 10km south of Hokitika in Westland.

There is also the opportunity for kayak hire and social events and the clubrooms can be hired.

Our sailing season starts in October and goes through to April the following year.

Lake Mahinapua Aquatic Club is affiliated to Yachting New Zealand. As well as club training there are opportunities to participate in Yachting New Zealand's Have a Go programme.

The club owns a range of boats that are available for use by members. Currently there are eight Optimists and two Piccolos.

Limited boat storage is available to members on a monthly basis.

For those with a competitive streak, trophies are awarded at the end of each season based on race results and we host a regatta annually.
