  • Innovative

For over 70 years marching has been an important part of the Waikato sporting scene. Marching is a competitive sport for girls and women of all ages although there are, also, recreational teams that take part for their own enjoyment, without the pressure of competition. It is a disciplined sport with many benefits to those involved, including:

  • team and individual discipline
  • character building
  • self esteem
  • poise and sportsmanship

Marching is a physically demanding sport requiring many hours every week devoted to practicing routines. Our teams compete weekly, both locally and throughout the North Island, during spring, summer and autumn. National Championships are held at the end of each marching year.
