Damage to Lawns

Footwear must be flat-soled shoes without corrugations but markings or patterns to prevent slipping are permitted.

It is a non-striking fault in Golf Croquet if a player causes damage to the court that before repair  is capable of affecting a subsequent stroke over the area.  It includes careless use of a mallet, feet or other equipment.
Striking faults are excluded from this rule.  Here, it is a fault if the mallet causes damage.  Damage caused by a ball is not a striking fault.

Association Croquet is similar but covers only damage caused by the mallet in a hampered situation.

Crushes

The rules for Association Croquet and Golf Croquet are essentially similar.  It is very unlikely a crush will result if the striker's ball is more than 3-4mm from the leg of the hoop and the shot is played as a jab or with a grounded mallet.  For a more detailed analysis CLICK HERE
