'Central Zone' are one-day sports tournaments available throughout the year to Year 7 & 8 students in the Central Zone area.
AAIMS Year 7 & 8 Sports organisation co-ordinates and manages all in-school sport for Year 7 and Year 8 students across the greater Auckland area.
The organisation is split into nine geographical zones and all schools, where Year 7 and Year 8 students are enrolled, are eligible to join.
Marist are part of the Central Zone.
Each one-day tournament event is hosted by a different Auckland intermediate school, providing students with a great opportunity to give a new sport a go, or to represent Marist in a sport that they may know and love.
Marist host the Central Zone Volleyball tournament for girls.
Registration:
Students can register two ways:
- By clicking on the registration button below
- By signing up on the whiteboard outside the Sports Office
Students can take part in up to two central zone tournaments per term.
Please note, most sports allow us to enter one team, so team spots are filled on a first-in-first-served basis.
Transport:
- The school van is used to transport students to and from each event
- Tournament details are subject to change. However, all changes will be communicated as soon as received
Details for each event:
- Once the team has been filled, an email will be sent out with further information about the event - including the permission slip, the draw etc
- Parents/whanau are more than welcomed to come and support
