TEAM SIZE

The ideal number is 9-10 players. There are 7 on the field at one time. 1 goalie and 6 players on the field.

GAME LENGTH

4 x 12-minute quarters, with 2-minute breaks in between.

COMPETITION

AIMS GAMES               

A Year 7 and 8 team will be attending AIMS Games in Tauranga at the end of the season. This has been a huge success in the past, and it is a great experience for the girls.

The process for selections will be confirmed in early 2025.

The expected cost will be approximately $1,300 - this will be confirmed once the team has been selected.

PRACTICES

One day per week - Marsden Turf.​​​​​​​

UNIFORM

Sublimated sports skirt or PE Shorts, PE top, green socks with a blue top. Tracksuits are required for getting to and from the game, and warm-ups.

EQUIPMENT

Players must have their own hockey stick, shin pads, and mouth-guard. These items can be purchased from sports shops, but if you need any assistance please contact the Sports Office.

SAFETY

Mouthguard and shin pads are compulsory for all practices and games.  Players will NOT be allowed to play or practice unless they have a mouth-guard.
