Holding a function? Why not use the Miramar Bowling Club.

Miramar Bowling Club welcomes companies, businesses, clubs & individuals who wish to hire the use of our club for their corporate or personal events. It is the ideal place to host your event and bookings are taken throughout the year.

We have excellent facilities and we are located within easy reach of both Wellington City and Wellington Airport. 

We have an extensive beverage range, ample parking and flexible catering options.

We are very flexible and we can meet your needs and requirements. Whether you have a group of 10 or 250, our club has a range of services to suit you. To book your function we require an Application form to be completed.

Miramar Bowling Club is a great location for a variety of functions:

Miramar Bowling Club provides:

  • Modern facilities for up to 250 people
  • Has a full commercial kitchen for preparation and set up
  • Is licenced with a full service bar
  • Can provide a BBQ, finger food or full meal catering
  • Can offer a "bowls experience" that is lots of fun and entertainment for your guests/clients. All bowls equipment is available for your use and we can give your group a little coaching to get them started


    Rooms Available 

    1) Lounge 1 Excellent facility to host larger events, also includes a dance floor, bar and kitchen. Seating capacity for 130 guests buffet style, 250 for a cocktail function or 130 conference style. 

    2) Lounge 2 Seating capacity for 70 guests buffet, 80 for a cocktail function or 70 conference style. Clients are welcome to hire both rooms for their event. 


    Catering 

    We offer clients three very flexible options:

    • We strongly recommend clients use our contracted caterer for their event. They offer outstanding food and service where they will cater to your needs and budget. 
    • Alternatively, clients may bring their own caterers and use the kitchen. We offer a blank canvas kitchen where all equipment needs to be provided by the caterer.
    • Lastly, clients may use the kitchen themselves and negotiate the use of our equipment.

    We understand every event and function is unique so we offer our facilities and give clients the option of arranging their own catering. Our commercial kitchen can cater for all size functions, from small to large. Our kitchen includes:

    • Large Oven & Stove
    • Deep Fryer (2 Bay)
    • Commercial dishwasher
    • Large bench space

    We can also offer your fucntion use of our 4 burner BBQ.

    Our dining area has 8 long serving tables and we have plenty of seating. In the main Lounge and bar area, we have modern round tables and again plenty of chairs. In our kitchen we have all the usual equipment including; cutlery, plates, bowls etc however many clients bring their own plastic plates, cutlery etc to avoid time washing, cleaning and putting all the equipment away. We will have large rubbish bags on hand for dispensables and a bin for the rubbish bags. 


    Bar Facilities

    We have a good variety of beer, wine, spirits & non alcoholic drinks in a range of sizes. Our  range of products includes:

    • Beer - Lion, Steinlager, Heineken
    •  Wine
    • Spirits - Gin, Bourbon, Bacardi,Southern Comfort, Whiskey, Rum and Vodka. 
    • Non Alcohol - Ginger Beer, Coke, Lemonade, Lemon Lime & Bitters, Soda & Tonic Water.
    • Some items are changed from time to time.

    We accept cash & EFT-POS (but no credit cards). We are able to set up a bar tab for your event but we require this to be paid on or before your event start date. Our friendly, experienced bar staff are at your service throughout your function.

    No alcohol or soft drinks are to be brought onto the premises, this is part of our bar licence requirements.  All drinks must be purchased from the club.


    Furniture & Equipment 

    Clients are welcome to use the Club's furniture for their event. All other furniture not offered below will need to be hired in by the client. Currently we offer the following:

    • Modern tables and chairs to seat 60 guests
    • Chairs x130
    • Trestle tables x8
    • Projector & screen
    • Lectern
    • Microphone & speaker system
    • Whiteboard


    Music & AV Gear

    Music can add a new dimension to any function. We have a AV setup connected to the main large screen in the main Lounge1 area. We also have an iPod connected that can give you your choice of music. You are welcome to use our music or bring your own.

    We are in a residential area so we do have to be aware of the volume so as the night gets later, we may need to lower the volume to respect for our neighbours. We also have sky TV available.


    All Weather and Grass Greens

    Miramar Bowling Club has an all weather artificial green and a grass green. We can accommodate up to 64 players at any one time on each of the greens. We provide the bowls and the helpers who can get you started with bowling. We require that flat sole shoes or bare feet are used on the green.


      Indoor Activties

      Should your function prefer to remain indoors, we have indoor activities availablethat you can utilise.These include:

      • Pool Table 
      • Dart Board
      • Indoor Bowling Mats
      • An indoor area where children can play
