The club is excited to welcome back Mt Albert Lion Old Boy and former Kiwi representative John Ackland as our Premier Coach. Johns coaching CV speaks for itself with years of experience coaching at not only the local competition level but also coaching at the elite and high performance level with the Vodafone Warriors. While at the Warriors John was the most successful coach in the U20 competition history winning the competition on 3 occasions. He has also been an assistant coach for the New Zealand Warriors and has international experience coaching the 2008 Samoan world cup team. 

With his success of bringing through local talentto shine on the biggest stage we are excited to see this happen at Mt Albert and a pathway for many of juniors to come through and represent the blue and gold with pride.
