Nelson Bays Football and Sport Tasman and are excited to host an Education Evening focused on supporting the female athlete, with key topics covering:
• Nutrition for performance and wellbeing
• Training in alignment with the menstrual cycle
• Mental health and resilience
• Creating a positive and supportive environment
This event is open to the wider community and is aimed at equipping those who support female athletes—whether as whānau or as part of a coaching team—with the tools and knowledge to create a quality sporting experience that fosters increased participation and long-term retention.

Workshop Format
Workshop 1: Players and Parents
5:00 PM – 6:30 PM
This session will explore the unique needs of female athletes from the perspective of players and whānau, offering practical takeaways on nutrition, wellbeing, and communication.
Workshop 2: Coaches and Managers
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Focused on coaching environments, this session will guide coaches and team staff on how to adapt training and team culture to better support female athletes.
Each session will be led by sector-leading experts in their respective fields, ensuring attendees receive current, evidence-based information.
