The Geraldine Hodgson Festival was a great opportunity for some pre-season umpire and umpire coach development at the Nelson Netball Centre.  Umpire Coach Developer, Sue James, and Anna from Mainland, along with Nelson Umpire Coaches, worked with umpires during their games. Sue also led a lunchtime session on umpiring techniques which sparked some great conversations.

The next day, Sue and Anna popped over the hill to work with umpires and umpire coaches from Marlborough Netball Centre. An enthusiastic group worked through umpiring techniques, post-match discussions and introduction to umpire coaching modules.

Thank you to all who gave up their time to take part in the sessions at the Top of the South. It was fantastic to work with groups of such open, responsive and inquisitive people!
