Mainland NetballSmart had the opportunity to travel over to the West Coast and delivery some tournament preparation workshops in Hokitika schools before the Junior South Island Secondary Schools Netball Competition, while also engaging with the West Coast Netball Centre in Greymouth. Kiana Gallon connected with the centre to offer support on Saturday 1st July for further NetballSmart development and displayed an educational pop-up clinic for coaches to ask questions, assist with any resource knowledge and connect face-to-face providing a NetballSmart lens.

It was highly encouraging to see multiple coaches from different grades and abilities re-engage with the importance of NetballSmart philosophies, taking into consideration the holistic value of a player and how preventing injuries can be implemented on and off the court. Thank you, Cindy Newton and West Coast Netball Centre, for welcoming NetballSmart to further educate coaches, umpires and players on the tools and resources available to them.
