As part of the Silver Ferns’ preparations for the Taini Jamieson series against England, a group of Mainland-based coaches, umpires and umpire coaches were given a rare opportunity. This group took part in an observation session of a Ferns’ training, ahead of their first game in Christchurch.  

The observation participants were split into groups containing both coaches and umpires/umpire coaches in order to enhance learnings and to see the training through different lenses. At the end of the session, Dame Noeline Taurua and Julie Seymour took the time to connect with the group, giving a description of the training purpose and answering questions from the attendees.
