It was great to be part of the Te Tai O Poutini – Summer Netball Camp January 2024, held in Greymouth on the 17th February, thank you to the partnership for their hospitality over the weekend. 

Our Mainland team were joined by some specialist coaches and an umpire coach who are Christchurch based (Andrea Cousins, Lee McKenzie and Vicki Harrington) to lead the delivery of the planned programme to the participants.  It was a day where U14 and U16 players, coaches and umpires came together to develop. 

Sessions included fundamental skills, new rules, SmartPlayer, game play and more!!  There was a lot in a short period of time, which left everyone’s Netball ketè full. 

It was great to see how beneficial it was to have all parts of the game developing together and how each area of the game can benefit from the input of the others. 

We look forward to again being part of this annual event in future and will enjoy watching the continually growth of all who have been a part of this opportunity.  Awesome mahi West Coast, Hokitika and Buller Netball Centre’s.
