NetballSmart had a great presence at the NNZ U18 Nationals Championship last month, bringing key messages to life and continuing to establish them as the norm within our netball community. The week showcased a tremendous amount of effort and dedication at the NS injury clinic, where our qualified physiotherapists in the team supported players in injury prevention by providing a strapping service. Ongoing education and their welcoming demeanour were widely appreciated, with positive feedback pouring in from Mainland Zone centre representatives and others. 

The national NetballSmart team came together doing a wonderful job of conversating with coaches, liaising with zone staff, conducting injury surveillance, observing warm-ups, and assessing the implementation of NetballSmart practices. These tournaments are crucial for allowing us to review activities on and around the netball court for shaping our way forward. 

A heartfelt thank you goes to South Netball for hosting this year's event, managing preparations, event and venue operations, and offering Mainland Zone centres the opportunity to display our U18 talent to NNZ.
