We are excited to Welcome Nick Burton to the Mainland as our new NetballSmart Development Officer. Nick is transferring to us from WaiBop where he has been working in the same role for two years. Nick brings with him a wealth of Strength and Conditioning experience, as well as a great understanding of both the role and the ins and outs of how the netball community operates. Nick will be keen to hit the ground running – so do not hesitate to reach out and get him booked in for a workshop in 2025!

Gone from the court, but not the game. 

Netball New Zealand is pleased to welcome Josh Bowring as the new National Technical Officials Manager. 

Josh, who earned his International Umpiring Award (IUA) status in 2009, has since built a distinguished international career. He recently officiated at the Taini Jamison Series in New Zealand, marking his final international appointment before announcing his retirement from the global stage.  

Now, Josh is eager to give back to the sport he loves and is looking forward to engaging with those involved in the game, to lead the support of the development and growth of Technical Officials.
