NetballSmart has been hard at work getting around to our centres and schools, preparing for the upcoming netball season and working across the board to help accommodate what our centres and schools need and want from a NetballSmart perspective.

Our new revamp warm up has been run out across the zone with terrific feedback, and the sessions have not just been informative but also practical. The energy and collaboration amongst coaches and players truly embody the spirit of community and growth that we love to see. We look forward to seeing these coaches inspire and help their players to grow during the season😊

We have also had multiple umpire development opportunities start to be applied with our Mainland performance group, gaining valuable education and knowledge to share with their respective umpires to help grow and develop too. We have run an umpire day with Mid Canterbury Netball Centre, with another one coming up at Christchurch Netball Centre on March 30th. Our Mid Canterbury one turned out to be a great highlight and one where the umpire took away some great education. Big thanks to Kelly (Mainland Coach and Umpire Lead) and Rebecca Reside and Vicki Harrington from Christchurch Netball Centre for giving up their time to help educate and grow their fellow umpires😊

We have also been hard at work with PDP sessions, with one being run out at North Canterbury. I attended on March 16th, which was a great day out with players and coaches starting with a fantastic MASS warm up leading into a festival day. Thank you to Lou (Mainland Participation Lead) for leading an outstanding day and the coaches and centre staff for the warm welcome😊.
