The funding landscape is changing – how do we stay ahead of the curve? By Learning!!!
Poipoia our Netball in New Zealand strategy, uses the southern cross to guide us, keeping our road ahead focused on ensuring Netball remains local, affordable and accessible. With our system shift’s helping us to understand we need to be agile and always looking for new ways to do things. One of NNZ updated goals for 2025 – 2028 is to increase and diversify funding streams. We recognise what has worked in the past around our funding may not be fit for purpose for the future.
NNZ has invested across the Netball system at Centre level for 2024-2025 around upskilling Centres in how to maximise their funding streams. They have partnered with Funding HQ a fundraising platform to support Centres to learn. This professional development covers all areas from how to write your story and build your compelling case, what role the Board has with funding, how to build partnerships with funders, bequests, donor programmes, what role could AI have in funding, plus so much more.
Funding HQ is a purpose-built online capability building platform, developed to educate, support and provide structure to not-for-profits, Local Government and community organisations needing to secure funding. Funding HQ provides tools and efficiencies to ensure your fundraising journey is productive and fun. We are hearing positive stories across Mainland from Centres that have been successful in bringing on a new Partnership, new Class 4 funding success, plus writing their plan on how to look after and retain sponsors.
Mainland is about to roll out another six-session programme plus some fundraising Master Classes. If your Centre has not engaged with the Funding HQ programme, YOU CAN! Please get in contact with Jacinda Valentine – Mainland's Relationship Manager to see how you can make the most of this one-off learning opportunity.
