Mainland Netball Zone

Update from Nick from NetballSmart - written by Nick Burton

NetballSmart has seen the support of our Mainland Advanced Camp, with results from our attending athletes being very positive and setting a standard for the off-season for our players in the lead up to the 2026 season. We congratulate our athletes on their impressive results as they strive to be the best netball athletes they can be.

Big congratulations to our Christchurch and Selwyn Netball Centres for hosting the Opens and Koru Games tournaments respectively, and having the events flow smoothly and teams knowing where they needed to be and everything arranged for them to focus on playing! Well done to all teams involved.

As we move into the off-season of Netball, it will be shifting focus to planning and looking at future dates in 2026 on how to best support our centres from a Netballsmart perspective, with visits to centres taking place over the next couple of months.

Should any secondary schools want to have meetings in your off-seasons in helping to engage with planning and dates, I would be happy to make time to visit and discuss how we can support your 2026 seasons across the school.

Our team has had the privilege of actively travelling and visiting Centre's to engage wherever possible, hoping to catch some great netball and development opportunities.

For those that are wanting to meet and plan for dates in 2026, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, and I will look forward to engaging with you and seeing what we can do in NetballSmart to further develop our plan with your centres 😊.

You can find these on our website under Resource/Training https://netballsmart.co.nz/netball-smart/resources.html

If you need any support from NetballSmart, not only in the warm-up space but with anything relating to netball, please get in contact with Nick from the NetballSmart team to lock in dates for 2026
