Kia ora! I am very excited to be joining the Mainland Netball team in the Participation Lead role.  

I grew up on the West Coast, and started playing netball in primary school, where I quickly fell in love with the sport. Living on a farm, I remember the excitement of getting my dress on and heading to town every Saturday. I also remember the incredible opportunities for camps we were afforded thanks to Mainland Netball. Throughout my schooling, I stayed involved through playing, coaching and umpiring. I was lucky enough to play in both the West Coast and Nelson netball centres throughout school – very different experiences in terms of size! 

My love for sport drew me to study a Bachelor of Sport and Recreation Management at Lincoln University, a degree I have just completed. During my studies, I was lucky enough to have coaching roles in local secondary schools here in Christchurch and assisted in specialist sessions for player development. 

I believe sport is so valuable for our hauora, and I am passionate about supporting the delivery, development and enjoyment of netball. I am very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to working alongside the Mainland Netball whānau to promote netball and participation throughout our zone.
