Walking Netball is a great adaptation of traditional netball, specifically designed to be inclusive of a range of ages and fitness levels. The only difference? Players walk instead of running. Modifying the game in this way reduces the impact on joints and is gentler on the body. It’s an awesome alternative for returning to play post injury or pregnancy, or if you’re looking for an exciting way to stay active.

Speaking to some Walking Netball regulars, they tell of how they love the game because:

“It allows me to play without worrying about my knee”

“It’s a good chance to be social”

“Less serious, more laughs than standard netball”

There’s no need to rally together a team – just turn up to a session at your local centre and teams will be allocated. It’s a great chance to meet new people as well.

Walking Netball programmes are currently offered in nine of our Zone’s sixteen Centres:
