Kia ora I hope everyone is well and enjoying the many opportunities for continued engagement with Netball through the Centre Consultation groups, newsletter, NetFit and ISO Zone and the many online development opportunities through NNZ and Zone teams. As we move through the COVID Levels, Sport NZ continues to work with the Ministry of Health to provide more clarity from a sport specific context. The latest updates to Level 3 are included in the NNZ document at this link here. To be clear, the updates provided by SNZ have not changed any guidelines for Netball at Alert Level 3 – All Netball activity remains postponed.
Check out the SNZ infographic for Alert Level here. SNZ will provide further clarity for Level 2 participation for Sport and Active Recreation by the end of this week. The main factors sport will need to consider as we move through the Levels are the requirements for distancing, tracing and protocols for hygiene and equipment, we are currently investigating solutions for these which will be finalised and shared with you after requirements for Level 2 are confirmed. We are currently working on some exciting resources to help get us all back on the court and enjoying Netball, at Level 2 – Preparing to Play and Level 1 – Returning to Play. We are looking forward to sharing those with you soon. Have a great week everyone, stay healthy and active and ready for Netball!!
