WBOP Zone Secondary School Tournament

The WBOP Zone Secondary School Tournament brought together teams from across the region, all competing in preparation for UNISS Tournament held in early September. Hosted by Tauranga Netball Centre, the event welcomed schools from Gisborne, Hamilton, King Country, Thames Valley, and beyond.

Players enjoyed crisp winter sunshine while competing across six divisions, from Premier A through to Junior Development, showcasing excellent skill, determination, and sportsmanship throughout the day.

Umpires benefited from high-quality coaching delivered by umpire coaches from across the Zone. With the support of Jan Teesdale, Pam Clayton, and Ceri Hills, our Umpire Coach Developers, the entire umpire development system was operating at full strength, creating valuable learning opportunities at every level. Our Coaches and Coach Developers will be able to follow up with our umpires at UNISS in September.

A huge thank you goes to the volunteers, umpires, coaches, managers, and supporters whose efforts helped make the tournament a success. Congratulations to all teams, and best of luck to those progressing to UNISS.
