INFORMATION FOR TEAM COACHES, MANAGERS AND SCORERS

CANCELLATIONS 
Game cancellations for the juniors will be sent to coaches and managers via text around 7ish on the morning. There are a group of Junior Convenors who make the decision depending on weather all around the Wellington region. The main contact person will text all Junior Convenors and our Newlands Junior Convenor will than text out to the mangement teams who will let all their team know. Please do not text Corina/Melissa asking if the games are on as they will be busy sending notiications. Facebook will have an update on it if it is cancelled. 

GAME RESULTS 
Please text through your results and the player of the days after each game so that it makes it easier for the certificates to be done and helps get annoucements started for all teams as soon as possible. If you are at the clubrooms with a home game results will be taken at the club rooms.  

Our Junior Convenor will log the results in weekly and these will be publised on WSA website.

TEAM MANAGEMENT SUPPORT
We are keen to hear if anyone is interested in coaching,  umpiring or scoring workshops. We currently have a scoring clinic on at the moment that is being run by Corina. It is a beginners course and anyone is welcomed to join. We are hosting it at Nga Hau E Wha Papakainga - 30 Ladbrooke Drive, Newlands - on Thursfay 6th October from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. 

If you can not make this, Corina is happy to do more clinics in November in person and via Zoom. If you are keen to get into scoring than you can find a manual in the link here that will help you get the basic's to start you off.  A Scorers Manual is available for download here.

Umpiring - if this is something that you are interested in, we are creating a pool of umpires for both senior and juniors that are confident in umpiring that might be able to help on a Saturday, however if you want to learn how to do umpiring we are happy to provide support and go over what you need to know to start the basic's of umpiring. RULE BOOKS
Rules for each grade will be given out to all coaches / managers in a pack with the score book. Each grade has different rules and it will be located in a pack for you to keep in your gear back in case you need to refer to these. 

For those teams that pitch - this will tell you the distance and the ball size that you need to be using for your grade. 

U7's you will have a folder with all the drills and skills that you cover off each week so that you are prepared for all the combined drills and skills before you play a game.
