Information for Parents

Uniforms

A shirt and skort/shorts is provided and returned at the end of the season to wear for game play on Saturdays. Black long sleeved tops and leggings can be worn under the uniforms or the School hoodie if desired.

Parental involvement

The Club is parent-led, meaning we want you to get involved. If you have any interest, please let us know how you might help to coach, umpire, manage so please indicate your interest during the registration process.

Registration Fees

The Northland Netball Club Committee strives to keep registration fees as low as possible but there are inevitably some costs that need to be covered. Click here to see what the subs cover. Note: if there are any funds remaining at season end, they are invested back into the Club for the next season.  Please contact the club at [email protected] if you need help with registration fees, as we would like to have as many children involved as possible with no financial barriers.

Saturday Games

Years 3-8 play games on Saturday. Seniors play in the morning and year 3s last. Players must wear their uniform to play, have short nails, no earrings or other jewellery, and sturdy shoes.  Earrings can not be taped.  Medic alert bracelets must be taped.

All games are played at Cardinal McKeefry School.  No dogs are allowed during WWN netball games. This includes on the grass.

Duty Days

Northland School is assigned duty days for the season as part our contribution to Wellington Wests Netball. This is a great opportunity for parents unable to help with coaching, umpiring or managing to support for the club and their children.

Information on the actual duties for this day are available here.

Scorekeeping

Each team must provide a scorekeeper for the game. It is preferable that both scorekeepers stand together at midcourt during the entire game to supervise the scoring and avoid any disagreements. Each team are responsible for scoring half the game. Click here for helpful tips on how to score.
