Established in 1965, the North Shore Model Railway Club is home to the Waitemata & Chelsea model railway.

Our layout includes US (HO), NZR (Sn3.5) and British (00) sections to cater for modelers of varying interests.

We welcome all model railway enthusiasts and all people who are interested in taking up model railroading as a hobby. We invite you to browse our website and to contact us to arrange a visit to our clubrooms. The club rooms are open on Monday's 10am - 4pm and on Thursday evenings from 7:30pm - 10pm.

OPEN DAYS

Twice a year we hold an Open Day for the public. It's a great opportunity for the whole family to visit and watch a parade a trains passing through our extensive and well sceniced layout. It's also a chance to meet some of our club members and see if this is a hobby you'd like to participate in. Or, you can just watch trains roll by!

OPEN DAY - June 29th

The NSMRC is holding another of its very popular Open Days on Sunday 29th June. It will be in conjunction with the Market Day held by the Birkenhead RSA next door, so lots of fun for the whole family.

Diamond Jubilee

The NSMRC is celebrating its Diamond Jubilee this year, having its inaugral meeting on the 14th October 1965.

The Club Committee is looking how best to celebrate this amazing milestone.
