Saturday’s Old Boys Lunch was another outstanding celebration of North Shore Rugby Club history, with more than 70 former players gathering to reconnect, share stories, and enjoy a fantastic afternoon at the club.
The room was packed with representatives from multiple generations of Shore rugby, including All Black Old Boys Brad Johnstone, Gary Cunningham, Paul McGahan, Frano Botica, and Buck Shelford.
Adding to the occasion was the presence of several Old Boys who don't always make it back to the club, including Dr Peter Cunningham, Paul Vegar (holder of the record for most Premier appearances with 245 games), Phil Weedon, Chris Williams, Boyd Gillespie, Kevin Rowe, Shaun Morough, Tom Chandler, Barry Pettigrew, and Dave McBride, among many others.
The afternoon was a wonderful reminder of the lifelong connections forged through the green and white jersey and the proud legacy that continues to shape our club today.
Much Thanks to Pete Coleman who put it all together and thanks to everyone who attended and helped make it such a memorable occasion. Truely The Pride!
