Covid-19 Association Update - 20th March 2020
Dear North Wellington Indoor Bowls Association Clubs and Members
After lengthy conversations and careful consideration, the North Wellington Executive have made the decision to cancel all Association events effective immediately, up until 15th April 2020 where we will hold further discussions at the SGM.
This will include all Association tournaments, rep trials, opening night and Interclub. The NWWTH Representative fixture is currently under discussion between all the associations and a outcome will be sorted soon.
We will leave clubs to make their own decisions on what they would like to do, but highly recommend that they follow suit and cancel club nights and events until further notice. If clubs wish to continue with their club nights, please remind your members of the safe health practices which the MOH have provided and if any members are unwell to stay home.
This decision has been made in the interest of all bowlers in our Association and also our neighboring associations, so we can ensure the health and safety of all our members in the long term.
We are aware that the situation is always constantly evolving. We are and will continue to monitor and review the situation regularly. We will update all of our members if there any changes.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this.
Regards
North Wellington Indoor bowls
