Friday 18th July marked a proud moment for North Wellington FC as we got to celebrate a significant milestone for one of our Men’s First Team defenders.

Since joining from Wellington Marist in 2023, Dion has quickly cemented himself as a core part of our backline. A physically commanding presence and quietly effective leader, Dion brings a sense of calm and consistency to every match he plays. Whether it’s shutting down opposition attacks or stepping up when it matters, his reliability has made him a fan and teammate favourite alike.

This season, Dion has taken things up another level, finding the net twice and proving he’s a real threat in both boxes. His commitment epitomise what we value at North Wellington FC, hard work, integrity, and playing for the badge.

Club President Fraser Kirby summed it up best:

“It’s great to see players reach milestones, and Dion is someone who plays to his strengths and is one of the game’s good guys. We’re proud of you, D.”
